Made in the UK by Alan Silverwood this anodised Battenberg Pan measures 8 x 6".
Now you can easily make your own battenbergs with this bespoke pan which comes complete with full recipe details. The cake tin can be used to make a traditional Battenberg cake, or with a little ingenuity can be used to produce numerous "checkerboard" variations.
Battenberg cake was first made in 1884 and commemerated the marraige of Queen Victoria's daugther to Prince Louis of Battenberg and has been a favourite ever since. Our battenberg pan easily allows you to make the 4 sections which are then sandwiched together with jam and a final covering of marzipan applied. The usual colours are yellow and pink but these can easily be varied to give any number of variations.
