Avocado and Kiwi Tools

Avocados are full of nutrients and proclaimed to be very good for the heart.

Preparing an Avocado: Use a sharp paring or utility knife to cut the avocado in half lengthwise. Twisting the two halves gently in opposite directions to pull away the flesh from the stone. Use a teaspoon to 'pop' the stone out if it remains intact to one half. Then use an Avocado Slicer to easily remove and slice the avocado fruit from the flesh, ready for a pefect starter or to mix with a salad. Alternatively leave the avocado in it's skin and top with prawns in Marie Rose sauce (1000 island dressing) or taramasalata and present in an avocado dish. Delicious!

Top Tip: To prevent the avocado darkening once opened sprinkle with a little bit of vinegar or lemon juice!
